Bronx community raises funds for teen's funeral

THE BRONX - Friends and neighbors raised $500 for the funeral of Emone Williams, 14, who was allegedly stabbed to death by her mother's boyfriend earlier this week.

Williams' friends set up a table and posted signs outside the apartment building.

Police say Christopher Ezell, the mother's boyfriend, tried to flee the scene of the crime but police quickly caught him and found the weapon.

Ezell has been arraigned on charges of murder, manslaughter and weapons possession.
