THE BRONX - Some Bronx commuters are ditching their MetroCards for a pair of wheels as part of National Bike to Work Day.

Transportation Alternatives set up refueling stations in all five boroughs for the event, including one at Joyce Kilmer Park, to encourage more people to get into biking.

The group says that the average Bronx resident can easily cycle to work in a half hour, and will be saving money, staying healthy and helping the environment.
