NEW YORK - A city councilman from the Bronx released a video that urges people to do their part during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Councilman Andy King asks people to "make donations, show sympathy, spend time with someone who is struggling with this horrible disease."

According to the organization National Breast Cancer, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

It is also the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women.
