Bronx DA's office joins forces with Operation Santa

THE BRONX - The Bronx District Attorney's Office is collaborating with Operation Santa to help donate toys this holiday season. Prosecutors and clerks dressed as Santa Claus this morning as they prepared to hand out the gifts, saying they recognize the importance of giving back to the community. "We try to make it a nice holiday for them," said Odalys Alonso, the chief assistant to the district attorney. Volunteers say donations have been low this year due to the economy.
