Bronx drivers fume over construction project

THE BRONX - Local drivers say they're fuming over an ongoing construction project near the Bronx Zoo.

The Pelham Parkway roadwork is supposed to revamp sidewalks and improve traffic flow along East Fordham Road, but commuters complain that it's been tearing up vehicles and creating congestion for months.

According to the city's Department of Design and Construction (DDC), the $5 million plan is set to wrap up on Dec. 16.
