Bronx educator honored for teaching excellence (12/4/12)

THE BRONX - A Bronx chemistry teacher received a standing ovation from students after being honored with the Sloan Award for Excellence in Teaching.

David Griffin, of the Collegiate Institute for Math and Science, is one of seven educators to win the prestigious award, which is open to all math and science teachers in New York City.

Students say Griffin is special because he actually makes them love chemistry.
