Bronx farmers market touts healthy eating

THE BRONX - A community farmers market is providing free healthy fruits and vegetables to help curb obesity in the Bronx.

Community-focused groups provide the free, healthy food and also hold educational seminars to teach residents about nutrition. Residents say it's often a challenge to afford healthy meals, and many are grateful for the market.

The market is funded by a state grant and is held regularly at the Davidson Community Center.
