MOTT HAVEN - Bronx officials say food pantries have seen increased demand this holiday season.

Officials say the economic crisis that has ripped through the country is causing increased hardship for Bronx families, many of whom were already struggling before the so-called Great Recession.

Some also wonder how food pantries will fare when donations dry up after the holidays and people continue to flock there for meals.
