Bronx food pantry gets help following News 12 report

THE BRONX - A Bronx food pantry in need got a helping hand of its own thanks to a story that aired on News 12 The Bronx.

Two years ago, the school and church at Saint Augustine's had to be shut down, but the pantry remained open.

Currently, the pantry is in danger of closing because of poor conditions in its current location.

Yesterday, The Bronx Chamber of Commerce delivered about 70 turkeys to the pantry.

Members of the chamber say they saw the story of the pantry's struggle on News 12 and wanted to help out.
