Bronx gears up for Dominican Day Parade

THE BRONX - The Bronx Dominican Day Parade will be held this weekend.

Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. held a special ceremony today to present parade organizers with a proclamation. A number of smaller festivals and banquets are planned leading up to the parade on Sunday.

Officials say they are expecting thousands of people to attend the parade, which will start on East Tremont Avenue and end on 167st Street.
