THE BRONX - The Bronx General Post Office on the Grand Concourse has remained closed since last week after testing positive for Legionella bacteria.
Residents say they are growing frustrated with the closure, since the location has been cleaned. There has been no new cases of Legionnaires' disease in the Bronx in nearly two weeks.
Since the closure, customers have had to get their mail from post office trucks parked across the street. However, anyone with mail that arrived at the building before Aug. 8 cannot get to it.
