Bronx girl reunited with surgeon who saved life

THE BRONX - A young Bronx girl who was shot and nearly killed over a year ago was reunited with the medical team that saved her life.

Veda Vasquez was only 15 when she shot as an innocent bystander in what police call a gang-related shooting. She was shot in the head and almost lost her life.

Vasquez says she was grateful the medical team was able to save her life. She is now in 11th grade and hopes to become a graphic designer.
