THE BRONX - ? The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is holding a public hearing in the Bronx on proposed fare hikes tonight.

Straphangers are encouraged to voice their opinion on the agency?s proposals to raise $413 million in new revenue.

The agency earlier proposed fare increases for MetroCards. If approved, the plan would increase the cost of the monthly unlimited card beginning in January.

The hearing will begin at 6 p.m. at Hostos Community College(CUNY) Main Theater. Registration begins at 5 p.m.
