THE BRONX - The groundhogs may have been right in predicting six more weeks of winter as the Bronx gets hit with its fourth snowfall of the year.

Residents did their best to cope with the heavy snowflakes as they headed out in extra layers and traipsed through the slushy accumulation. Some were even forced to pull out their umbrellas because of the fast-falling wet snow.

Many say their commutes took much longer than normal because of the weather and they're ready for a change of seasons.

Public schools opened as normal, but after school programs, including PSAL games, and any field trips were canceled.
