News 12 took a swing at the Van Cortlandt Park Golf Course, the oldest 18 holes in the country.

THE BRONX - It's tee time for News 12 at the oldest golf course in the country for this week's Bronx Hot Spots.

The Van Cortlandt Park Golf Course opened in 1895, and was frequented by many late greats like Babe Ruth. Recent renovations even fully restored the clubhouse to its historic structure.

The 18-hole loop, which makes you feel far from the city, puts everyone on the same playing field. As managers put it, it’s a place where mail clerks and CEOs can bond over their backswings.
