THE BRONX - Today?s record-breaking temperatures didn?t stop some Bronx children from learning to serve and volley.

The New York Junior Tennis League is holding free tennis camp sessions for kids ages 6 to 18. The coach at the Bronx International Tennis Center said he started out the day with 17 students, but numbers dwindled to seven by the afternoon, thanks to the roasting heat.

The free sessions are being held at six different locations in the Bronx and it?s not too late to sign up. Children are welcome to open lessons five days per week and all equipment is provided.
