Bronx man arrested after grocery store stabbing

THE BRONX - A Bronx man was arrested after allegedly stabbing a man with a syringe outside a grocery store last Friday.

According to investigators, two men went inside an A&P in Yonkers and tried to steal baby formula. They say an employee and good Samaritan tried to stop them and that's when William Sanchez stabbed the man with a hypodermic needle.

Cops say Sanchez was caught after jumping 40 feet down onto the Major Deegan Expressway and breaking his leg. The other suspect is still on the loose.

The victim is expected to be OK.
