THE BRONX - A Bronx artist has painted a mural in an effort to inspire the Mott Haven community.

Dave Liberatore, who works as a social worker for a non-profit that serves the community, says he came up with the idea for the mural located in a space near M&M parking & Yolanda's Restaurant on 148th Street and Morris Avenue after noticing an empty wall by the restaurant.

His message is simple, "Create Your Dreams," and that's exactly what's inscribed on the wall.

"I just really wanted to bring some light to a place that may not have some. If one or two people walk by and get inspired from it, then I have done my job," Liberatore says.

He's hoping kids from across the street at P.S. 18 see the mural and become inspired by it.
