Bronx man wanted for pistol-whipping man in the face

THE BRONX - Police are looking for a suspect who they say pistol whipped a man at a Southern Boulevard apartment in the Bronx.

It happened on Sunday, Feb. 7, inside the apartment.

Police say 22-year-old Wilfredo Maldonado got into a verbal dispute with the victim, then pulled out a gun and pointed it at him. 

The victim charged at Maldonado and the two got into a scuffle before Maldonado pistol whipped the victim in the head and ran away, police say.

The NYPD is using social media to track down Maldonado, and it says he does live at the apartment on Southern Boulevard where the incident occured, but has not been seen since.
