Bronx marks fifth night of Chanukah with menorah lighting

The Bronx got into the holiday spirit this afternoon with an early menorah lighting to mark the fifth night of Chanukah.

THE BRONX - The Bronx got into the holiday spirit this afternoon with an early menorah lighting to mark the fifth night of Chanukah.

Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. lit the candle outside the Bronx Supreme Courthouse, where he was joined by an officiating rabbi. The afternoon also featured musical performances and a prayer service.

This year's Chanukah celebration began at sunset on Dec. 8 and will last through Dec. 16, with one candle lit at sundown each night.
