Bronx mother shot to death in front of kids

WAKEFIELD - Police say a Wakefield mother was shot and killed Monday morning in front of her two children.

Laikisha Scriven, 30, was found shot in the head outside 4321 Furman Ave. near her two daughters, ages 8 and 5. Police say Scriven was loading her children into the car for school at about 7:15 a.m. when she was shot.

Scriven was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
