THE BRONX - Bronx officials have joined together to make the streets safer by launching a new gun buyback program.

The Bronx District Attorney's Office, the NYPD, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr., and three local pastors have all partnered together for the day-long event. They say residents will get $200 on a pre-paid cash card for each weapon that is turned in; no questions asked.

The program will be held on June 4 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. at locations around the borough.
