THE BRONX - Residents in Bronx Park East are calling on the city to help slow down drivers near one busy intersection.

The Bronx Park East Community Association wants the Department of Transportation (DOT) to put in a speed bump at Cruger Avenue and Boston Road, which is near two schools and a senior center.

The group requested a DOT study for the corner back in May, but says it's still waiting for the results.

News 12 reached out to transportation officials about the speed bump request, but has not yet heard back.
