THE BRONX - Bronx parks are ready for visitors after a quick Labor Day cleanup.

Outdoor picnics and barbecues for the holiday typically mean there's plenty of trash left behind, but this year garbage was already taken care of by the next morning.

Bags sat piled up next to garbage cans at Saint Mary's Park in Mott Haven, and the baseball field and walkways are ready to go. There is also no trash in sight at Soundview Park.

The Parks Department has its crews work around the clock after holidays such as Labor Day and the Fourth of July, and parkgoers say they appreciate their efforts.
