THE BRONX - Businesses near Yankee Stadium are hard at work preparing for next week when the Yankees play their first game of the season at home.

Alfred Hong, who owns the Concourse Card Shop, says he's expecting a lot of business both at his store and at others in the area, especially with it being Derek Jeter's final season.

At Stan's Sports Bar, general manager Mike Rendino says they're finishing up some repairs and upgrades they've been working on all winter. The bar is also thinking of Jeter and has ordered some special shirts to sell to fans.

The Yankees' home opener is next week against the Baltimore Orioles, but they start the season Tuesday against the Houston Astros.
