Bronx principal resigns over grade controversy

THE BRONX - A Bronx principal has stepped down from her post after allegations she changed the grades of 30 students.

The Department of Education says Janet Saraceno resigned as principal of Lehman High School yesterday. The DOE says she changed dozens of grades from failing to passing for students who passed a Regents exam in the same subject.

Saraceno also allegedly gave students credit for courses they didn't take.
