THE BRONX - Bronx residents braved the freezing, blustery weather as they headed out for the day.

Gusts of wind were blowing the snow around, making it difficult to navigate certain areas. Some say that snow drifts were also a problem as plows went by, pushing piles of snow up against the sidewalks and taking up parking spots.

People traveling both on foot and by car moved slowly as bitter cold temperatures keept spots icy.

Everyone was advised to use extreme caution and bundle up in extra layers if they weren't able to stay indoors.
