THE BRONX - Soccer fans gathered across the Bronx today to cheer on Ghana in its quarterfinal showdown with Uruguay.

Uruguay ended up winning the match in a penalty shootout after Ghana went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.

Despite the loss, some residents say they are proud of the team having reached the furthest it has in its history in its second World Cup appearance.
