THE BRONX - Bronx residents marked National Gay Men's HIV and AIDS Awareness Day by getting tested and talking openly about the disease.

Many people went to Boom Health Services today to get a quick and free HIV and AIDS blood test.

Boom Health hosted the testing to help raise awareness about the illness.

According to New York state, the number of new HIV diagnosis decreased by 37 percent from 2002 to 2010, but the number did not decrease for gay men.
