BRONX - After below-freezing temperatures for weeks, residents went outside to enjoy Friday’s milder weather.

At Fordham Plaza, shoppers packed the square ready to spend.

Vendors there say the recent bitter temperatures kept their customers away, and they hope to make up for lost business amid warmer winter temperatures over the next few days.

Temperatures are expected to remain mild most of the weekend with highs near 47.
