THE BRONX - The snow may be piled high, but it didn’t stop some Bronx residents from heading to the stores on Sunday.

Crews were pouring salt on city sidewalks trying to keep pathways free of ice and slush.

News 12 spoke with one woman who was headed out to the beauty salon.

Officials advise anyone heading outdoors to dress in warm layers and wear hats and gloves.
