Bronx residents look to cash in on energy bills

THE BRONX - Temperatures are beginning to take a dive, but there are still ways to cash in on energy bills and keep the heat in your home.

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority recommends Bronx residents keep drafts out by making sure windows and doors are tightly closed. It also says to keep your water heater temperature at 120 degrees.

Another tip to help conserve is to change furnace filters once a month to make sure it's running efficiently.
