THE BRONX - A group of tenants living in an East 156th Street building say they're living in deplorable conditions that have become unbearable.

The tenants say rats rummage through their apartments, their stoves are a danger and bathroom walls are falling down.

"The cabinets are old and broken apart," says building tenant Carlton Palmer. "I have a stove where the heating control is broken and it's stuck on, which is a fire hazard."

Some residents say they plan on going to court to address the disrepair, but many say they simply want to move on to a better living situation.
