THE BRONX - A tractor-trailer that spilled 20 tons of frozen chicken on a Bronx street turned out to be good news today for residents.

The incident occurred this afternoon when the truck clipped a barrier at East 176th Street and Crotona Avenue.

Because of the warm temperature and the spilled frozen cargo, officials handed out handfuls of free chicken to residents.

Police officers from the 48th Precinct were at the crash scene to make sure that the crowd didn't get out of hand.
