THE BRONX - Bronx residents were soaking in the sun Monday on the first full day of summer.

Many people were laying out and relaxing at Pelham Bay Park while others chose to be more active.

Temperatures reached 88 degrees in the afternoon.

Conditions are expected to remain pleasant for the rest of the week with temperatures in the low 80s and high 70s.
