THE BRONX - Residents in the northeast Bronx took to the streets today to protest outages.

The demonstration blocked the intersection of Eastchester Road and Burke Avenue.

Residents say nearby businesses have power, and they don't know why the area from East 222nd Street to Gunhill Road has been overlooked.

All four District 12 city council candidates showed up at the demonstration to support the community.

One hour after News 12 crews left the demonstration, power was restored in the area.
