THE BRONX - The city urged everyone to follow park rules while barbecuing outside this Labor Day.

Many Bronx residents headed out to Pelham Bay Park early to claim their spots in one of the designated grilling areas.

Fines for grilling in prohibited areas can total up to $250.

The Parks Department also reminded grillers to properly dispose of hot charcoal after it has been used.
