THE BRONX - Officials are warning residents to steer clear of the Bronx River after Tropical Storm Irene.

The fast-moving river can often become dangerous, according to officials. However, the water is quickly receding and has not caused any significant damage to the area.

Officials say residents should not swim in the river.
