THE BRONX - A runner from the Bronx is gearing up for a strong return to Boston, one year after the marathon bombings.

Laura Rodriguez finished her first Boston Marathon about an hour and a half before two explosions went off at the finish line, killing three people and injuring many others.

Rodriguez says that while she's physically ready to run the race again, she's not quite emotionally ready. Still, she wouldn't have missed it, and can't wait to help show the world that the marathoners are stronger than ever.

Rodriguez has been running with the borough's Van Cortland Track Club for the past four years.
