THE BRONX - Hurricane Sandy victims in Brooklyn are getting some added warmth for the winter with some help from its most northern borough.

Newly elected Bronx Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj says a truck full of blankets, wool socks and coats is going to tenants at the Gravesend Houses in Coney Island. Food and toys are also being sent.

Gjonaj says that as time passes, it's important to show that storm victims have not been forgotten.
