HUNTS POINT - A solar company in the Bronx has received over $20 million from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority for energy projects.

OnForce Solar has been in the Bronx for the past three years. It received the grant money to work on large energy projects, 10 of which are in the Bronx.

Victory Food Service is one company that has gone solar. They are a distributor of frozen and refrigerated foods, so they are constantly using electricity.

General Manager Sunder Luthra says his bill at Victory Food Service before the solar panels were installed was almost $300,000 a year. Now, it's $56,000 less.

OnForce Solar also installs panels in homes. They say more and more homeowners are switching because of the tax incentives.
