Bronx students receive Yankees scholarships

THE BRONX - Ten college students were presented with scholarships from the Bronx Bombers on Monday.

The students, who are of Dominican heritage, each received $1,000 at Yankee Stadium where second baseman Robinson Cano greeted and congratulated them.

The recipients were picked by the Dominican Day Parade Scholarship program, which helps students in need continue their college education.
