THE BRONX - A Bronx 16-year-old was arrested after police say she and another man broke into an Indonesian Consulate and went on a burglary spree that ended at a hotel.

Tyana Nunez, of the Bronx, and David Rivera, 18, were arrested Monday.

According to police, the two broke into the side door of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Manhattan and stole a case of vodka, a Samsung tablet, a suitcase full of clothing and keys to a van.

The suspects allegedly used the keys to drive off in a 2004 Honda Odyssey.

Police say prior to breaking into the consulate, the pair broke into a room at the Residence Inn Marriot Hotel on Eastchester Road in the Bronx on Sunday and stole a pocketbook with cash, a Coach wallet and assorted credit cards.

However, police say the teens returned to the hotel Tuesday and were recognized by hotel security who then called police.

Police say when questioned about the stolen items, Rivera attempted to bribe officers with cash, alcohol and the van.

Both Nunez and Rivera are facing burglary charges.
