Bronx teen recovering from gunshot wound

THE BRONX - Police say they're still searching for a gunman who opened fire on a crowd of students in Soundview yesterday afternoon, striking 16-year-old Patricia Hernandez in the right hip as she waited for her bus to arrive.

According to authorities, the man jumped off a public bus on Story Avenue and fired his gun multiple times as students were leaving the Soundview Educational Campus for the day.

Investigators say it's not clear whether or not Hernandez was the intended target at this time.
