THE BRONX - A group of teens is helping young Bronx children living in shelters across the borough.

Bronx teenagers with Changing The Odds are volunteering at Homes for the Homeless shelters.

Flor Najera has been a part of the group for three years. She says in addition to serving homeless children, she’s donated blankets for animals and planted trees.

Estelle Raboni, director of Changing The Odds, says the many of the children they help look up to the teenage volunteers, which is something teenagers don't often get.

Changing The Odds has been around since 2011, and is offered in 12 schools throughout the Bronx.
