Bronx tenants seek to get rid of landlord

THE BRONX - Bronx tenants filed a lawsuit Thursday against the landlord of 2710 Bainbridge Ave., citing failure to fix nearly 1,000 violations, including 200 immediate hazards.

More than 30 tenants say the landlord has failed to fix collapsing ceilings, broken doors and a lack of hot water. The building is run by Frank Palazzolo, of Semper Fi Management 4 Corporation.

Attorneys for the tenants demand Palazzolo pay the $800,000 worth of repairs they estimate the building needs.

The Housing Preservation and Development Corporation has started addressing some of the violations. On April 12, crews will begin replacing the roof and waterproofing the building.
