THE BRONX - A Bronx veterans plaza has received funding to restore the site and many say it's much-needed.

Memorial Grove marks the names of veterans from World War II and the Korean War with plaques. The site is in a small, wooded section of Van Cortlandt Park but locals say it has fallen into disarray.

However, Councilman Oliver Koeppel's office was able to secure funding to restore the site. The parks deparment says it will refurbish 24 plaques and recreate 15 that are missing.
