Bronx Week film festival kicks off

The first Bronx Week film festival has kicked off with screenings of popular movies.A dozen films with some connection to the borough will be screened

THE BRONX - The first Bronx Week film festival has kicked off with screenings of popular movies.

A dozen films with some connection to the borough will be screened free of charge through Thursday. Many of the films will be showcased at the Bruckner Bar & Grill.

The festival was organized by the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation, Olympia Film Locations Inc., and local filmakers.

The restaurant says it hopes to showcase Bronx talent.
