Bronx woman accused of animal cruelty

THE BRONX - A Bronx woman has been arrested by the ASPCA for allegedly neglecting and starving her two 7-month-old pitbulls.

The two pitbulls, Cagney and Lacey, were rescued from Gillian Irving in February at 16.4 and 15.2 pounds each.

Irving, who was arrested on Friday, is charged with two counts of Misdemeanor animal cruelty and faces up to two years behind bars.

Both pitbulls are recovering at the ASPCA hospital and will be available for adoption soon.
