Bronx woman found guilty in killing of grandmother

THE BRONX - A Bronx jury found 25-year-old Sparkle Daniel guilty of the 2003 killing of a grandmother.

Daniel and another woman, who has yet to stand trial for the killing, were accused of killing 91-year-old Nellie Holcutt by pouring wine down her throat, stuffing a cloth in her mouth and then suffocating her with a plastic bag.

Daniel faces up to life in prison when she is sentenced on Oct. 25.
